MFPD / FIVEM POLICE EQUIPMENT
MFPD-Spikes
VERSION 3.0.8 • EXCLUSIVE 3D MODEL • CUSTOM ANIMATIONS
Bring realistic spike-strip deployment to your FiveM server.
An exclusive custom 3D spike strip, created specifically for MFPD-Spikes. Carry it folded, cast it low across the roadway and watch its connected sections unfold. Recover it with an animated collection sequence, ready for the next pursuit.
Custom animated equipment. Synchronized handling. Tire contact during extension.
Includes its own streamed model, textures, player animations, prop animations and deployment audio.
THE DEPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
Every stage is part of the action.
01 THE EQUIPMENT
Exclusive custom 3D spike strip
Modeled specifically for this resource around a real concertina deployment mechanism. Connected rocker sections, folding support links and individual hinge pivots articulate as the strip travels out and settles onto the road.
- 22 articulated sections and 110 individual spikes.
- Approximately 4.72 metres per deployed strip.
- Hollow metal spikes, compression sleeves, hinge pins, fasteners and end hardware.
- Distinct polymer and metal materials, road wear and distance LODs.
- Custom diffuse, normal and specular textures, including a 2K polymer texture.
02 THE OFFICER
Purpose-built handling animations
Custom carrying, low forward casting and retrieval animations connect the officer’s movement to the equipment, from the initial grip through release and recovery.
- Folded strip attached to the officer’s hand.
- Timed release, short outward travel and progressive unfolding.
- Upper-body animation layering with normal leg locomotion.
- Animated folding and gathering during collection.
03 THE PURSUIT
Tire contact follows the strip
Tires can puncture against sections already unfolding across the roadway, before the strip has finished extending. Detection follows the equipment’s current position.
- Checks actual animated spike-bearing sections during deployment.
- Empty road ahead of the strip remains clear.
- Wheel-based detection and swept checks for fast crossings.
- Supports player vehicles and NPC traffic, with synchronized bursts.
One continuous deployment
CARRY → LOW CAST → RELEASE → UNFOLD → SETTLE
Single and double-strip deployments use one officer animation. Collect either member of a paired deployment to gather both strips in one retrieval sequence.
BUILT FOR YOUR SERVER
Immersive on scene. Flexible behind the scenes.
Multiplayer presentation & road placement
- Synchronized deployment: shared release timing, travel, articulated unfolding and final placement for nearby players.
- Paired strip support: coordinated release, deployment and collection of both strips.
- Directional, road-aware placement: the cast follows the selected deployment heading. Ground probes align the strip to suitable road surfaces and moderate slopes; unsuitable steep or uneven placements are rejected.
- Spatial deployment audio: sound fades with distance, with configurable volume and audible radius.
- Multiple strips: supports multiple deployed strips with configurable per-player limits.
- Lifecycle management: server ownership and state checks, routing-bucket awareness and cleanup on player death, disconnect or resource stop.
Frameworks & access
Standalone · ESX · ESX_NEW · QBCore · QBOX · vRP
Configurable job/group access, framework permission updates and QBCore duty checks. Optional ACE gating is available for server-side access control.
Target systems & trunk workflow
ox_target · qb-target · Custom adapter · No target required
Automatic target detection, animated vehicle trunk handling and the /spike shortcut. Configure permitted vehicle classes, model whitelists, interaction distance and trunk-open requirements. Connect third-party targets through the editable adapter.
Simple controls. Complete handling.
/spike Take or store a strip at an eligible vehicle’s trunk.
E Deploy one strip while carrying, or collect a nearby deployed strip.
L Deploy two strips with one casting animation.
E and L are the default bindings. Players can rebind the actions through FiveM’s native keymapping settings. Paired deployments are collected together.
CONFIGURATION & PERFORMANCE
Set the pace for your patrol.
- Deployment tempo: adjust player and prop playback speed together.
- Placement: tune deployment distance, double-strip spacing, slope limits and ground tolerances.
- Vehicle access: choose vehicle classes and optional model whitelists.
- Audio: enable or disable deployment sound and adjust its volume and radius.
- Detection: configure scan distances, vehicle-pool refresh intervals, contact tolerances and burst debounce.
- Administration: configure jobs/groups, strip limits, framework resource names and on-screen prompts.
- Localization: English, Portuguese (Brazil), French, German and Spanish labels and prompts, with editable locale tables.
Activity-driven processing. Deployment and retrieval animation work runs during the action. Tire scanning runs while tracked strips need detection, with cached vehicle wheels and animated contact data. Key actions are contextual to carrying and collection.
Included & required
Included: the MFPD-Spikes resource, custom textured strip with LODs, custom player and prop animation dictionaries, deployment audio and editable configuration files.
Required: a FiveM server with OneSync enabled. Choose Standalone mode or configure one of the supported frameworks.
Optional: ox_target, qb-target or your own target integration. The resource also operates through its command and keybindings, and ships with its required custom animations.
Quick setup
- Place MFPD-Spikes in your server’s resources directory.
- Add
ensure MFPD-Spikesto your server configuration, after any selected framework or target dependencies. - Set framework, permissions, vehicle access, target mode and language in
config/config.lua. - Adjust handling, audio and contact settings in
config/deployment.lua. For third-party targets, configureconfig/custom_target.lua.
